The EU is preparing a new €3B military aid package for Ukraine.
The European Union will increase direct military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by an amount exceeding €3B, EU High Representative Josep Borrell said. “I will inform the NATO member states that next Monday, we will approve a new tranche of military support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Luxembourg next Monday. This amount will reach more than €3B thanks to the resources of the European Peace Fund. I will also inform them about establishing a military training mission to support the Ukrainian army,” Borrell said before participating in a meeting of NATO defense ministers at the alliance’s headquarters. He emphasized that the EU intends to continue helping Ukraine as much as will be necessary and in the volumes that will be necessary.
