The EU has launched support programs for small agricultural producers in Ukraine.

The State Agrarian Register continues to accept applications within the framework of the new UAH 1.5B (€50M) assistance program for small agrarian producers, financed with EU support, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported. Farmers who cultivate from 1 to 120 hectares of agricultural land or keep from 3 to 100 cows will be able to receive grants. Registered farmers and other agricultural product producers that meet the criteria will be able to receive UAH 3,100 ($84) per hectare of cultivated land (but not more than UAH 372,000) and UAH 5,300 ($143) for each cow that is owned (but no more than UAH 530,000).
