The Czech Republic sends T-72 tanks and infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.

The Czech Republic has sent dozens of T-72 tanks and infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine to help defend itself against Russian attack. The Czech Republic transferred non-modernized Soviet-era T-72 tanks, free of charge, which had been in reserve. The Czech army had about 90 tanks in stock, but only about 30 modernized vehicles were active. Czechoslovak infantry fighting vehicles (BMP-1) also have been sent to Ukraine.
