The Czech Republic has given all its available weapons to Ukraine and predicts a decrease in support next year.
According to Czech President Petr Pavel, Prague has only a few options left for further military support for Kyiv. He claims that the Czech Republic has already sent all the weapons it could to Ukraine. But there are still opportunities for assistance in air defense and munitions.
Pavel also suggests that in 2024 support from Ukraine’s allies may weaken significantly. He notes that the US will hold presidential elections in 2024, which will mean a focus on domestic politics. He said that if US support declines, support from a number of European countries will also decrease.
The President of the Czech Republic assumes that in 2024, Ukraine will no longer be able to start any large and complex operations, therefore, this year is crucial for the development of the war.
