The Armed Forces have already destroyed 28% of the second delivery of Iranian drones transferred to the Russian Federation.
The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed 70 of the 250 Shahed attack type unmanned aerial vehicles that Iran delivered to the Russian Federation over the past month, said Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Forces. According to Ukrainian intelligence, under the contract signed in the summer, the Russian Federation purchased 1,700 Shahed explosive drones from Iran, which are delivered in tranches. So far, the Russian Federation has launched about 540 drones for tactical strikes along the front line and on power plants, power line poles, and substations. Most strike drones crash before reaching their targets. In Iran, the cost of producing such a drone is about $7,000 per unit, but it is unclear at what price Iran sells these weapons to the Russian Federation.
