Several countries can provide MiG-29s to Ukraine at once.
Polish government spokesman Piotr Muller said that Warsaw had received positive signals about transferring Soviet MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine from several countries simultaneously. He noted that Poland is ready to decide on their supply in coordination with partners, reports Bloomberg. Mueller did not specify which countries agreed to participate in transferring their fighter jets to Ukraine. According to him, they should announce these decisions on their own. Slovakia has not yet decided on the supply of MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. International negotiations are still ongoing, said Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy. Experts say these jets are used to eliminate the cruise and Kalibr-type missiles Russia uses in Ukraine. The MiGs can strengthen Ukraine’s air defense as well as the Ukrainian army’s offensive capabilities.
