Rheinmetall will supply Ukraine with the latest Luna NG aerial reconnaissance systems, and ATACMS negotiations with the US are ongoing.
As reported by Bild, the “unmanned package” consists of a ground control station with several drones, a launch catapult, and military trucks.
According to the manufacturer, the Luna NG drone is the Luna UAV system’s newest element, surpassing its predecessor in all critical operational characteristics. Not only can it be used as a reconnaissance drone, but it can also secure an LTE network, as well as intercept or jam communications. The ultra-light fuselage provides a flight duration of more than 12 hours and a data transmission range of more than 100 km. The drone provides spatial coverage of more than 30,000 square kilometers.
In addition, according to the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Oksana Markarova, negotiations on providing long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine are ongoing.
