Responding to high world prices, Ukraine increased its pig iron production by 8% during the first half of this year,

compared to January-June 2020. Ukraine smelted 10.8 million tons of pig iron, making it 10th in the world, between Taiwan and Germany, Ukrmetalurgprom reports, citing Worldsteel figures. Ukraine’s slightly outstripped the world increase of 7.3%.
