Over 200 Finnish companies are preparing to enter the Ukrainian market.

More than 200 small and medium Finnish firms are looking to establish a presence in Ukraine, while larger companies are planning to broaden their operations. The most promising sectors for Finnish investors in Ukraine continue to be IT and digitalization, green energy, construction innovation, and the food processing industry.

Among the major Finnish players in Ukraine:

Nokia: Operating in Ukraine for 30 years, it supports vital infrastructure such as hospitals and schools. The company aims to establish a defense innovation center with local defense enterprises, enhance digitalization projects, and help implement 5G.

KONE: Since 1991, it has worked to modernize urban infrastructure and seeks to rebuild housing, transport networks, and critical infrastructure.

Wärtsilä: This global leader in energy efficiency solutions, including modular power plants, supports the Ukrainian government in energy efficiency and decarbonization initiatives.

Sweco: A top European engineering services firm with operations in Ukraine since 1990, it actively participates in green transition projects, such as building energy-efficient housing for IDPs and developing industrial parks and water purification systems.

Hesburger: This company has invested €6M to construct a frozen hamburger factory in Boryspil and is expanding its restaurant chain in Ukraine, with plans to open 10 additional locations in western regions and export livestock products to the EU.
