One of the largest metallurgical plants in Ukraine exported 3.1 million tons of products and is increasing production.
During the two years of the full-scale war, the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant has exported 3.1 million tons of iron and rolled steel. The plant’s products are shipped to 38 countries around the world. During this period, 1.4 million tons of cast iron and rolled products were distributed to Ukraine’s domestic market.
It is noted that the company is extending maximum effort to improve the quality of its products, expand its offerings, and search for new logistics chains and sales markets.
Note that during January-February 2024, Zaporizhstal increased pig iron production by 75.7% compared to the corresponding period last year – up to 512,300 tons, and steel – by 125.2%, up to 471,100 tons. The production of rolled products increased by 126.9% to 395,300 tons. According to 2023’s results, Zaporizhstal increased its output by 50.6% compared to 2022 – up to 7.24 million tons.
Last year, the plant operated at an average of 70% of its capacity.
