OKKO aims to become a prominent player in the wind energy market by developing wind farms and seeking additional financing.

The OKKO group plans to initiate several large wind energy projects and has already started working on their implementation. Construction of the Ivanychi wind farm in the Volyn region is already underway. In April, OKKO secured €157M in financing from three Western banks for this wind farm’s development. Additionally, the holding will invest around €68M of its funds into the project. The wind farm is expected to generate approximately 500 GWh per year, with the launch anticipated at the end of 2026.
For the Zaturyntsi wind farm, which has a capacity of 192 MW, OKKO is still seeking financing but will begin preparatory work for construction in the fall. The project’s cost is €250M, and the Zaturyntsi wind farm is projected to produce about 612 GWh per year.
According to energy experts, the most promising areas for wind farms is the Ukrainian Carpathians, where wind speeds are higher and more consistent. The Carpathians are increasingly appealing to investors as it is a relatively safe region where projects can proceed even during wartime.
