Norway considers supplying gas to Ukraine and allocating €1B in aid.

The Government of Norway, together with representatives of mining companies, will consider supplying natural gas to Ukraine, said Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store during a meeting with President Zelenskyy. Norway’s energy companies are currently working at their maximum capacity and are supplying Europe with 20% of its natural gas needs. According to Store, since the war, when Russia began cutting off the supply of energy resources, many European colleagues asked whether Norway would fulfill its obligations under such conditions. Moreover, Norway’s gas production is already at its maximum, but the government is willing to add a little more and consider the possibility of supplying gas to Ukraine. Store also said that Norway will provide Ukraine with a €1B aid package by the end of this year and throughout the next.
