Norway and Britain will help Ukraine with micro-reconnaissance drones.
Norway and Great Britain will jointly deliver Norwegian-made Black Hornet micro-drones to Ukraine, the Norwegian Ministry of Defense reported. The purchase price will reach about NOK 90M ($9.1M). The package includes Black Hornet systems with spare parts, transport, and training. Funding will take place through a British-led fund to which Norway has contributed 400M kroner. The Ministry of Defense noted that the Ukrainian authorities asked for this type of equipment to fight the Russian invaders. The Norway-developed drone is used by several NATO allies, including the United States and Great Britain. The drone is used for surveillance and target identification. Defense Minister Björn Arild Gram noted that the drone is easy to operate, reliable, and difficult to detect.
