Ministry of Economy: The average salary in Ukraine has increased to ₴19,553.

Employers in Ukraine are raising wages for employees to retain and attract new highly qualified personnel amidst a shortage of labor resources, the Ministry of Economy reports. According to a state analysis of vacancies on recruiting platforms, the average salary in July increased to ₴19,553 ($470) compared to ₴18,903 in June.

As for average salaries for the first quarter of 2024:

  1. information and telecommunications – ₴49,732
  2. financial and insurance activities – ₴39,116
  3. professional, scientific, and technical activities – ₴26,316
  4. public administration and defense – ₴23,376
  5. wholesale and retail trade – ₴22,809

The lowest salaries are observed in education (₴12,649), art and sports (₴13,663), and construction (₴14,561).

It is reported that the level of wages in 2023-2024 will continue to be affected by the same factors since 2022 – the consequences of active hostilities in a large part of Ukraine.
