Microenterprises have the most optimistic expectations about future operations in Ukraine.


According to the Institute of Economic Research, the index of anticipated changes in business activity in February, as in January, is 0.1. The share of those planning to expand their activities is 15.4% (up from 14.4%), while the proportion planning to reduce their activities is 5.1% (up from 4.1%). The percentage of those intending to maintain their current activity level is 79.5% (down from 81.5%).
Notably, the most optimistic outlook for the future among enterprises is held by large microenterprises, whose index stands at 0.23. The index for small enterprises is significantly lower at 0.11, while the indices for medium-sized (0.08) and large (0.06) enterprises are somewhat lower and roughly the same.
Regionally, the highest expectations are reported by enterprises in Cherkasy (1), followed by Zakarpattia and Ternopil (both at 0.67).
By industry, the highest indicators are seen in the printing industry (0.5) and woodworking (0.26). In contrast, the mechanical engineering indicator is the lowest, with a value of 0.
