Metinvest will allocate 900 tons of steel free of charge for bulletproof vests.

The metallurgical giant will provide 900 tons of steel, which will produce about 80,000 bulletproof vests for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the company, another 10,000 bulletproof vests were purchased abroad on Thursday. About 250 tons of material have already been transferred to companies specializing in the processing of steel armor. The steel was partly produced at the group’s enterprises and partially purchased in Ukraine and abroad. Metinvest is providings all rolled metal products free of charge to companies certified in the production of bulletproof vests.
