McDonald’s invests ₴1B in network expansion in Ukraine and strengthens cooperation with domestic businesses.

Yuliya Badritdinova, the company’s general manager for the markets of Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, said that the plan for 2024 is similar to 2023, so the amount of investment will be about ₴1B.

The company opened 10 new restaurants last year and plans to open another six this year. After opening a restaurant in Yaremche, McDonald’s plans to pay more attention to the western region and other tourist destinations in general.

At the same time, the company is gradually switching to the use of chicken produced by the Ukrainian agricultural holding MHP, with which it has been cooperating since 2021. Initially, MHP products will be sold in several restaurants, and later, throughout Ukraine. According to Badritdinova, more than 60% of McDonald’s suppliers in Ukraine are local.

Recently, the WOG network began a partnership with McDonaldʼs, opening an establishment on the Zhytomyr highway. Currently, the company is building a new facility with OKKO.
