Latvia will help Ukraine with economic and logistics development.
Investment in the development of Ukraine’s economy will contribute to strengthening the country at the front, Latvian Minister of Economy Viktors Valainis emphasized.
“We can help not only by sending material aid but also by working on the development of the Ukrainian economy. We seek to promote the attraction of investment aimed at business development. If there is a strong economy, then Ukrainians can better help themselves and strengthen their successes in the war with Russia,” he said.
Valainis added that Latvia recently allocated €6M in aid to Ukraine for infrastructure support. In addition, the country seeks to help with its experience in restoring and improving the state of Ukraine’s energy system and will also provide technical equipment.
With representatives from the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Latvian delegation discussed the development of logistics routes, an increase transportation volume through Baltic ports, rail and road transportation, and increasing the export of Ukrainian products.
