Labor migrants sent $15B to Ukraine last year.

In 2021, migrant workers transferred a record $15B to Ukraine, the largest amount ever announced by the National Bank of Ukraine. Thus, remittances rose by $3 billion, or 25.4% for the year. Net labor payments (i.e., payments excluding expenses of migrants in the host country) totaled $10.5B. Private transfers were $4.5 billion, of which $2 billion were remittances from workers working abroad for more than a year, reported epravda.
