Kyiv’s Electronmash plant was sold as part of small privatization on the third attempt.
The state property fund (SPFU) held an online auction to sell the Kyiv Electronmash factory. During the auction, six companies participated in the bidding. The final bid almost doubled from UAH 61.2M to UAH 120.8M. The highest bid was offered by the company Incom Rent, which owns several companies engaged in operating and leasing real estate. The auction winner has 20 working days to pay the price of the lot.
This is the third auction for the plant. The first auction’s winning price was UAH 970M, and the second UAH 430M. In both cases, the winners failed to pay the required amount.
In the Soviet era, Electronmash produced electronic computing equipment, power supplies for urban electric transport, and household gas meters. Currently, the plant’s territory lies abandoned on the outskirts of Kyiv.
