Kingspan will begin construction of a €280M plant, while a large textile manufacturer is establishing a new factory in Ukraine.

The State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine has issued a permit for the construction of a building materials plant in the Lviv region to Kingspan Property, a subsidiary of Irish Kingspan Group. The group is a global leader in building materials production and operates in over 80 countries, boasting of more than 210 plants. The new plant has attracted €280M in investment and will produce metal profiles, components, mineral wool panels, and purlins, along with recreation areas for employees and additional production facilities.

Furthermore, the Chernihiv region will have its new textile factory operational by the end of the year. The Textile-Contact group purchased equipment in Poland for this new factory last year. The transportation of the equipment was delayed by farmers blocking the border last year. Consequently, transportation costs increased by 400%, leading to delays in delivery and extending the project’s timeline. Preparations are being made to launch a facility measuring over 7,000 square meters this year.
