Juice composition requirements in Ukraine will be in line with EU standards.

Ukrainian juice ingredients will be brought to European standards. In particular, the amount of sugar will be reduced, announced the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyi.

According to him, the main goal of the changes in juice requirements is to harmonize Ukraine’s legislation with the European Union’s legislation. This includes, among other things, the Action Plan for implementing the Association Agreement.

The EU is initiating juice production with reduced natural sugar content. The European Commission is developing the corresponding directive. The sugar content in Ukrainian-produced juices will also be reduced, however, only after the adoption of the directive by the European Commission.
