Italy will create a logistics corridor for Ukrainian exports.
The plan for a new logistics corridor will be presented at a conference on Ukraine’s reconstruction this April in Rome. The project will create input and output terminals for the Ukrainian economy in the northeast of the country, said the Minister of Economic Development of Italy, Adolfo Urso. According to him, the Italian government will create an intermodal transport highway along the International Transport Corridor No. 5 (Venice – Trieste/Koper – Ljubljana – Maribor – Budapest – Uzhhorod – Lviv – Kyiv). The new corridor will allow transport of Ukrainian exports, especially metallurgical ones. To implement the project, a logistics platform will also be created to connect Ukraine by land with the Quadrante Europa intermodal port in Verona and then with northeastern Italian seaports, Trieste, and Venice.
