International investor Aregy Group has withdrawn from all projects in Ukraine due to corporate takeover attempts.

The international medical group Aregy Group announced its exit from all projects in Ukraine due to regular raider attacks on one of its assets – the Chervona Kalyna recreation center in the village of Zhobryn in the Rivne region.

“The company is forced to stop ten years of activity in Ukraine and curtail investments in its economy,” Aregy Group said.

At the same time, the investment group decided to transfer the controlling stake of the facility to the direct heirs of the founder and chief physician at Chervona Kalyna. The goal of the raiders is to capture the enterprise and build an entertainment complex with cottages for the local elite in its place.

Aregy Group, which in December 2022 became a key investor in the Chervona Kalyna recreation center, developed a project to renovate and develop the facility as a bio-renovation resort in the Rivne region. Investment in the reconstruction of the enterprise could amount to more than $20M and create more than 200 jobs, providing about ₴30M in annual revenue to the budget.
