International experts will help Ukraine to record evidence of Ukrainian agricultural product looting.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Agricultural Policy and the International Technical Assistance Project Expedite Justice (PEJ) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The purpose of the project is to collect and record evidence of crimes related to the theft of Ukrainian agricultural products and the intentional destruction of civilian infrastructure. The head of the ministry, Mykola Solskyi, noted that the collection and systematization of information on stolen and destroyed agricultural products and infrastructure in Ukraine will help quantify the financial value of losses and explore avenues for compensation. In addition, experts will develop methodological recommendations for the reliable collection, storage, and verification of information related to food theft, as well as a register of materials and public information.
