In response to Ukraine’s ATACMS strike, Russia launches deadly strikes on Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro; Ukraine attacks the enemy’s Khalino airbase.
On the night of October 18, the Russian forces launched six rocket attacks in Zaporizhzhia. One of the rockets hit a residential high-rise building, killing four people and injuring three. On the same day, Russian rockets hit Dnipro, wounding three persons, and killing one. A strike on the village of Obukhivka killed a woman and wounded four people.
On Wednesday night, Ukrainian drones struck a military camp near the Khalino airfield in the Kursk region. Up to 3,000 Russian troops are stationed there with up to 80 units of military equipment. Ukrainian intelligence services claim the damage was powerful, with at least 18 hits.
Last night, the Crimean population reported Russian air defenses responding to drone attacks. Explosions were heard in Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, Zaozerny, and near the village of Romashkine.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that 28 drones were destroyed over the Black Sea and the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
