With compensation talk growing, he said: “The gas pipeline should be used as a lever to encourage Russia to play a constructive role in the peace process in eastern Ukraine.” In Washington, Vitrenko released a video saying that if the Biden Administration fails to impose pipeline-stopping sanctions, the US Congress could adopt legislation forcing the Administration to impose them.
