In a new project, six companies are bidding in an international tending build a facility to store Ukraine’s vitrified radioactive waste that is currently stored in Russia.

The tender should be held in May and the facility should be built by 2023, said Serhiy Kostyuk, head of the State Agency for Exclusion Zone Management, (Ukrinform).
