How are industries and businesses in Ukraine implementing the transition to green energy?

The top manager of SOLAGRO, Serhii Shcherban, said that the transition to alternative fuel sources for grain elevators will continue regardless of price fluctuations for natural gas. According to him, the number of elevators working on alternative energy sources has increased by 50% compared to the pre-war period.

Meanwhile, as of the end of December 2023, the company reported that the OKKO gas station network installed solar panels at 122 gas stations.

“In total, solar power plants produced two million kWh of electricity this year and partially provided for the needs of our gas stations. And thanks to this, we reduced the load on the country’s energy system,” OKKO noted.

It is noted that in 2023, solar panels were installed at 56 OKKO gas stations, and next year, there are plans to install them at another 70 stations.

“That is, in general, we will cover almost 50% of the entire network,” the company concluded.
