Guaranteed Buyer’s debt to renewable energy producers is still a critical issue.

According to DTEK Energy, As of February 17, the debt situation in the Ukrainian wholesale electricity market remains critical. Since the beginning of the month, debt to RES producers amounted to UAH 9.3B (UAH 0.2B less). In 2022, the worrying conditions for debt accumulation to RES producers remain, as the approved Ukrenergo tariff for 2022 is not balanced. The Guaranteed Buyer’s debt to NPPs and HPPs has not changed since the beginning of the month and amounts to UAH 4B ($140M). Ukrenergo’s debt on the balancing market has increased by UAH 0.2B since the beginning of the month and amounts to UAH 11.3B, including indebtedness to balancing service providers (UAH 8.4B) and the parties responsible for the balance (UAH 2.9B).
