Germany has prepared a winter aid package for the armed forces worth €11M.
The German federal government has prepared another aid package for Ukrainian servicemen for €11M, which will help prepare them for winter, writes Spiegel. It is noted that the package includes 100,000 units of peacoats and other winter clothing, 100 tents with heating, hundreds of mobile power generators, and other equipment. At the end of summer, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov appealed to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to provide urgently needed winter equipment for the 200,000 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since then, assistance from Denmark, Lithuania, and many other Alliance members has been planned that will help with providing winter equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Currently, NATO has the resources to cover about 50% of Ukraine’s identified needs.
