Finland is preparing for Ukraine’s reconstruction.
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Development, Ville Tavio, has been instructed to develop a plan for Finland’s participation in Ukraine’s reconstruction. According to Finland’s government, this assignment is related to the implementation of the government program, according to which the government will prepare a national plan for Finland to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine in cooperation with business and industry.
In the first phase of drawing up the plan, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs will work closely with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment and the Ministry of Finance. The aim is to provide Finnish businesses with more comprehensive advisory services and to identify financing solutions to facilitate their participation in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
The second phase involves preparing a long-term plan, including a review of the use of development cooperation appropriations.
