Fewer people are traveling to Poland from Ukraine.

This weekend, for the first time, the number of border crossings to enter Poland was lower than those entering Ukraine. This week, the number of people entering Poland was lower than those leaving Poland for Ukraine for the first time since the war began. On April 16, 19,200 travelers left Ukraine, and 22,000 returned to Ukraine. A total of 2.8 million people have crossed the border from Ukraine to Poland since February 24. The BBC speculates that Ukrainians have begun to return home for a few days or for good because the danger in their cities has diminished. According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, there are no queues at all western checkpoints as of Monday morning.
