Entrepreneurs note a satisfactory business climate only in the west of Ukraine.
Business conditions in other regions of Ukraine are assessed by companies as difficult, and only in the Western region do most entrepreneurs consider them satisfactory, according to a survey by the European Business Association. Compared to last year, the situational assessment in Lviv (2.62 points) and Dnipro (2.20 points) has mostly stayed the same. The indicators worsened slightly in Odesa (2.15 points) and Kharkiv (1.45 points).
Entrepreneurs in the Western region have the highest ratings of the business climate. Compared to last year, the number of those who find it difficult to work has increased from 28% to 41%. At the same time, 53% consider business conditions satisfactory (72% last year). Another 6% claim that it is easy for them to do business.
The worst assessments of the business climate by entrepreneurs is in the Kharkiv region, due to constant Russian attacks. All surveyed companies assessed the conditions as difficult, in particular, 55% as very difficult. This year, no company rated the business environment as satisfactory, although last year, there were 6%.
Mobilization, reservation, staffing issues, and power shortages remain common challenges for most regions.
