DTEK and Octopus Energy Group launch a €100M program to install solar power systems for businesses.

Ukrainian private energy company DTEK and London-based global clean energy technology firm Octopus Energy Group are rolling out a new program, RISE, to install rooftop solar panels and energy storage solutions for Ukrainian businesses and public sector institutions.

RISE will be the first of its kind in Ukraine and aims to raise €100M to fund 100 local energy projects over three years. The initiative is expected to help stabilize the energy grid and protect customers from outages and price increases. The program combines DTEK’s expertise in energy efficiency projects with Octopus Energy Group’s Kraken operating system, which leverages artificial intelligence, to improve energy sustainability.

The solar panels and storage systems will be installed directly at customer sites. The systems will be managed through the Kraken platform, enabling businesses to optimize and monitor electricity usage in real-time, reduce load during peak hours, and sell excess electricity back to the grid.
