Denys Shmyhal and Jake Sullivan ensure the $60B US aid package will arrive within a month.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said blocked US funding could arrive as soon as this month, as the more than $60B in assistance continues to be held up by House Republicans in Washington.

According to the prime minister, Ukrainian officials are actively discussing aid allocation with Congress members from both parties and expect positive news this month or next month at the latest.

At the same time, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan unexpectedly visited Kyiv and vowed that the US House of Representatives would approve a $60 billion aid package for Ukraine, saying there was no need to come up with other plans to get the country the help it needs.

According to Bloomberg, Sullivan’s visit was aimed to reassure Ukraine about the future of US aid, which has been stuck for months.
