Denmark has launched a $133M special investment fund for Ukraine.
As the Minister of Economy, Yuliya Svyridenko, noted, since the beginning of the war Denmark’s total military support to Ukraine amounts to $1.4B, and total humanitarian aid, including macro-financial assistance, to $212M.
“The Denmark investment fund was created for Ukraine to finance projects involving the best Danish technologies and innovative solutions for both the public and private sectors“, Svyridenko clarified.
During the Ukrainian Investment Forum in Copenhagen, the approval of financing for two pilot projects in the agricultural industry and agro-processing was announced. In particular, the agro giant Nibulon will be given a loan of €25M, and Agrofusion will receive €15M. Also, loans will be given to agricultural companies located near the front line in Mykolaiv, which will be used to restore destroyed production facilities and purchase equipment from Danish exporters.
The fund will not only provide financial guarantees but also lend directly.
