Canada will strengthen Ukrainian air defense and localize the production of armored vehicles, and Germany will buy three HIMARS for Ukraine.

Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair has confirmed the allocation of CAD76M ($55.7M) to a German-led initiative to supply air defense systems to Ukraine rapidly.

At the same time, the US State Department approved the accelerated sale of three HIMARS rocket launchers, financed by Germany, to the government of Ukraine for approximately $30M.

At the same time, the Canadian manufacturer of armored vehicles, Roshel, plans to deploy part of its production in Ukrainian territory to provide for quick transfer of vehicles to the frontlines and repairs. According to Roshel CEO Roman Shymonov, the company employs more than 200 Ukrainian refugees in Canada who are eager to return and continue production of armored vehicles in their home country, contributing to the local economy.

Moreover, France has promised to deliver 40 long-range SCALP cruise missiles, similar to the British Storm Shadow, to Ukraine. The project will be financed by the French government through aid funds for Ukraine.
