To support Ukraine’s economy against the background of increasing Russian aggression, Canada will provide a loan of 120M CAD ($96M). Also, Canada is looking at other ways to support Kyiv as the crisis with Russia deepens, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Friday. The Canadian loan will help the country’s economic stability and governance reforms. Canada has also offered a $6M grant to assist in the proper use of the loan. “Canadian and Ukrainian officials are already meeting to discuss the potential terms of the loan and the timeframe for its use,” the Canadian Ministry of International Development said.
