British equipment and machinery worth hundreds of millions of pounds continue to enter Russia.

While British exports to Russia have fallen sharply, exports of drones, optical devices, and heavy engineering products to several former Soviet countries, from Uzbekistan to Georgia, have grown unprecedentedly. This undermines the sanctions regime and strengthens Russia’s military capacity.

Exports to Kyrgyzstan jumped by more than 1,100%. These exports are primarily heavy equipment and vehicles that cannot be sent directly to the Russian Federation. British export volumes to Armenia increased almost as sharply. The analysis shows that parts for airplanes, helicopters, and drones are being sent to Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. British companies exported six million pounds of such goods to these four countries, which exceeds traditional export volumes.

Other products, including data processing machines, aeronautical equipment, and radio navigation aids, are also being sent to the aggressor state.

Other European countries, particularly Germany and Poland, also sell a large amount of equipment to Caucasian and Central Asian countries that goes to Russia.
