Because of Russia, individual vessels of the grain initiative have been awaiting inspection for more than a month.
As part of the grain initiative, nine ships with 390,000 tons of agricultural products for Africa, Asia, and Europe left the ports of Greater Odessa in two days. According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, 95 vessels are currently waiting for inspection in the Bosphorus, of which 73 are headed west to the ports for loading, and 22 are already loaded with Ukrainian agricultural products. Some of them have been waiting for more than a month. This is a deliberate action by the Russian delegation to slow down the inspection process. At first, they reduced the number of inspection groups to three, and now they have begun to extend the time of the inspections themselves. An increase in the queue means a decrease in the volume of exports of agricultural products from the ports of Ukraine and millions in losses for cargo owners due to downtime.
