Bayer has disclosed the details of its €60M investment project in the Zhytomyr region.

The Bayer international concern, which previously announced an investment of €60M, revealed the details of its priority investment areas in Ukraine. The announced investments are aimed at expanding the capacity of the Bayer seed plant in the Zhytomyr region. In particular, the company plans to:
- install a third dryer for corn seeds
- significantly expand its fleet of vehicles, including new warehouses and equipment storage areas
- purchase various types of modern agricultural machinery
- construct two bomb shelters with a total capacity of up to 400 people
With its expanded production, the company plans to create about 100 new jobs. Bayer is also focusing on increasing energy efficiency in its production and the share of green energy in the production process. Since the beginning of the war, the company has managed to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 1,300 tons.
