Astarta will build a new $76M oilseed plant in the Khmelnytskyi region.

The Board of Directors of Astarta Holding has approved a decision to commence a new investment project – the construction of an oilseed processing facility, particularly soybeans and rapeseed, in the Khmelnytskyi region with a capacity of 400,000 tons per year. The new plant is scheduled to be operational by 2026.

Astarta highlighted the increasing demand for soybean processing products in the EU and the new opportunities this presents, and the company is prepared to pursue them by leveraging its experience and expertise. The project will effectively utilize the agro-industrial holding’s existing infrastructure and will aid in the development of the western region’s agro-industrial ecosystem.

The Astarta team is already actively at work on reaching an agreement with an equipment manufacturer and are awaiting a decision from the Narkevychi territorial community regarding a land purchase. Astarta plans to apply to participate in the state’s support program for projects with significant investment to expedite the plan’s implementation.
