An American company will assess Ukrnafta’s gas fund.

PJSC Ukrnafta and the American company Weatherford will work together to increase gas production, said the head of Ukrnafta, Serhii Koretsky. Weatherford will conduct an engineering assessment of Ukraine’s gas fund as part of the cooperation. The project involves the analysis of production data, based on the results of which a list of technologies will be determined, and an assessment of the effectiveness of their application will be carried out.

“The companies have already signed all necessary agreements for partnership,” Koretsky emphasized. According to him, cooperation with Weatherford will allow Ukrnafta to apply modern production intensification technologies on existing wells, which is part of the company’s strategy to double production over a five-year period. This year, Ukrnafta plans to increase oil production by 5.8% and gas production by 0.3%.
