Alterra Group invests $8.5M to expand its logistics center due to increased demand.

Alterra Group, specializing in developing and managing commercial real estate, has invested $8.5M in expanding the Joule logistics center (Svyatopetrivske, Kyiv region) from 8,000 to 20,000 square feet. The expansion is driven by increasing demand for rental space, with a zero-vacancy rate in the initial phases. Entrepreneurs are increasingly seeking ready-made commercial spaces rather than constructing their own warehouses.

Nine newly established businesses, which combine innovation, social responsibility, and a focus on sustainable development, have become residents of Joule’s first phases. Among the residents is the Farmak pharmaceutical company. The facility’s expansion will allow for the attraction of more such residents and the creation of at least 50 new jobs.

Another important feature of the Joule logistics center is its enhanced accessibility for small businesses. Previously, companies could rent or buy spaces ranging from 500 to 6,000 square feet. Now, the minimum rental space has been reduced to 200 square feet, making it easier for newly established businesses to access necessary infrastructure.
