To avoid shortages of foodstuffs in Ukraine, the Ministry of Agricultural Policy has banned the export of a group of farm products. In particular, sugar, meat (except for the chicken), buckwheat, etc., cannot be sold abroad, reported agronews.ua. Furthermore, to prevent a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, maintain market stability, and meet the needs of the population for critical foodstuffs, the government has set new rules for exporting agricultural products. According to the Minister of Agriculture, Roman Leshchenko, “the products banned for the export are oats, millet, buckwheat, sugar, salt, rye, cattle, and meat.”
