A UIA flight from Kyiv Boryspil to Tel Aviv was rerouted to Larnaca, Cyprus Tuesday night after Israel’s main airport came under a Palestinian missile attack.

After a three-hour delay, the plane landed at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport. In January 2020, two Iranian anti-aircraft missiles downed a UIA flight shortly after takeoff from Tehran airport. All 176 passengers and crew were killed. In July 2014, a Russian missile fired from separatist-controlled Donbas downed a Malaysia Airlines jet, killing all 298 crew and passengers aboard.
