A plentiful gas source was discovered in the Kharkiv region on a 50-year-old deposit.

State company Ukrgazvydobuvannya drilled a new well in the Kharkiv region, which produces 140,000 cubic meters of gas per day. According to the company, the well was opened in a field that has been exploited for half a century and is almost exhausted. This became possible due to updated geological data and the use of the latest technologies for optimizing production. According to the head of the company, Oleksandr Romaniuk, in light of the limited opportunities for the implementation of new projects, Ukrgazvydobuvannya is focusing on revealing the residual potential of fields that have been utilized for a long time. The new well was put into operation ahead of schedule.
