A new chicken processing plant has been opened in the western portion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian poultry company Avesterra Group has launched a new processing facility in the Volyn region. Approximately €60M has been invested in the enterprise’s construction, automation, and environmental safety. The area of the new complex spans nearly 30,000 square meters and is equipped to meet the highest European standards. The plant has a capacity of 13,500 broilers per hour, with 50 production and auxiliary facilities and modern treatment plants (3,500 cubic meters per day) featuring membrane filtration. This setup enables effective treatment of all production effluents and minimizes environmental impact.

Furthermore, the project plans to incorporate automation in all of its production processes in the processing plant and is set to be fully equipped with modern machinery from renowned global manufacturers. This will allow the company to access EU markets with scalable, certified products.

The company currently holds a 5% share of the Ukrainian market, producing up to 53,000 tons of poultry meat annually, with plans to reach 120,000 tons per year.
