A multimodal bulk carrier terminal, with a transshipment capacity of 300,000 tons per year, will be built in Western Ukraine.

Plans also include constructing a multimodal terminal for bulk cargo and a base for petroleum products, featuring a mixing plant for adding bioethanol to gasoline in Transcarpathia. According to the project’s plans, a terminal for transshipment of light petroleum products and other bulk cargo is planned on the outskirts of the village of Goronda, 17 kilometers from Mukachevo. The area designated for the future dry port is approximately 19 hectares.

The terminal will handle the import and export of liquefied gas, bioethanol, vegetable oil, diesel fuel, and gasoline, arriving by rail and road. It is expected that two tracks of different widths will enter the terminal – 1,520 mm from the Mukachevo side and 1,435 mm from the Strabychov side. The terminal’s planned annual capacity is 300,000 tons, with bioethanol, non-food vegetable oil, diesel fuel, and gasoline making up 200,000 tons, and the remaining amount comprising liquefied gas.

The project owner is the Poltava-based group of energy companies Nadezhda, which operates a network of gas stations and oil depots across Ukraine.
